This series focuses on the representation of environmental collapse through the work of Piet Mondrian'senvironmental collapse through the artwork of Piet Mondrian, his conception that art should be represented through the straight line and the pure colours as a symbol of the expression of the cosmic order, made him one of the most admired abstraction defender, one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. This idea of ‘cosmic order’ has to do with the greatest crisis in the history of our time: climate change. As Chomsky pointed out in 2022, ‘We have a very narrow window of opportunity to solve the problems and stop the destruction of the environment. If we reach this tipping point, which is irreversible, we can say goodbye each other’.Through a new version of neo-plasticism, based on books and texts by Fridays for Future claims, appears this new series. A kind of vindictive abstraction a sort of vindicative abstraction, an exercise in looking at the history of art as a vehicle, updated in concepts and formats.
