The Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno (CAAM) is celebrating a new edition of sound art cycle “CAAMSonora” with the presentation of the work “Pulsos” by the artist from Granada, Laura Llaneli.
Pulsos is a sound performance that aims to aesthetically highlight and make visible the electromagnetic sounds that accompany us but remain hidden to the human ear. Due to the rise of electronic devices we live with (smartphones, computers, tablets, televisions, wireless speakers, routers, printers or fluorescent lights) these waves have been gaining ground generating an intangible noisy mass of crakles, interference, clicks or rhythmic beats. The proposal works with theses sounds as the main element of its composition, showcasing their nuances and revealing a new physicality of sound.
