The miracle of the welfare society is that of economic triumph. The market, the true sphere of today’s new consumer society, has managed to standardize personal aspirations.
The search for comfort is programmed in successive stages of consumption, and one of its highest symbolic levels may be the vacation residence, a place where the simulation of leisure is one more expression of production. Paradoxically, these architectures are paradigms of a world in which there is no room for illusion, since reality has long been eradicated from it. These paintings start from the dissolution of digital images through the chromatic inflation of their own pixels, seeking to reflect the aforementioned miracle not in the maximum expression of realism but in the fading or fragmentation of reality, as corresponds to the simulation that these buildings present.
