This piece take as its starting point an act of appropriation from the painter Lucio Fontana, whosepremise was to create inscriptions on the surface of monochromatic canvases. Instead of a canvas,a euro note is used in this work, which inverts the original meaning of the hole in the canvas as thebroadening of the understanding of the pictorial surface to the surface of an object of everyday useand that has special importance in our lives, money.
