In a general sense, the phrase refers to the climatic, economic, and energetic collapse that hangs over global society. More broadly, it seeks to reflect on the meaning of collapse in contemporary societies; in some cases a future threat and, in others, a present daily reality. Furthermore, and in a more recent key, new events join in and amplify the sense of collapse with the crisis caused by Covid-19. The phrase "Enjoy the Collapse" can be interpreted at various levels. On the one hand, it refers to the impotence of citizens facing events upon which they cannot act. On the other hand, it alludes to "accelerationism" wherein a collapse that generates a deep crisis can change the structure of the global system and cause the transition to a new productive, economic and social model.
